INTERMEDIATE LEVEL COURSES

Equivalent to Grade 10

This level may be used as preparation for admission to selected vocational or technical programs such as Automotive Service Technician or Culinary Arts , or to prepare the student for the ABE Advanced Level. It provides entrance to vocations requiring a Grade 10 completion.

ENGLISH

ENGL 037

Focuses on reading, writing, spelling and vocabulary activities. Useful as preparation for the GED exam.
Prerequisite: ENGL 020 or ENGL 025 or assessment.

MATH

MATH 030

Includes survey of math skills and introduction to metrics, area/volume, ratios, geometry and algebra.
Prerequisite: MATH 016 or assessment. Assessment required if prerequisite is more than 5 years old.
Recommended: Grade 8 reading level.
